| | I accidentally clicked on the friendster account of my former blockmate in Trinity College. Due to my curiousity, I continued to read her profile. Then I saw these words, "Trinity University." I got confused. Univ na ang Trinity College, ang bilis naman. Well, those were my initial reactions. When I was in my first year in TCQC, there were rumors that TCQC have this mission to officially become a university. True enough, they made it! And Trinity College of Quezon City is now a University; Trinity University of Asia. Kakaproud naman.
TRINITY COLLEGE OF QUEZON CITY IS NOW A UNIVERSITY On July 18, 2006, CHED called on the College for the Validation Visit of the Commission, headed by Dr. Carlito Puno, CHED Chairman, and the following as members: Drs. Hadja Luningning Umar, Nona Ricafort, and Saturnino Ocampo Jr. With them during the visit are Dr. Catherine Castañeda, Director IV, Office for Programs and Standards (OPS); Dr. Amelia Biglete, Director IV, CHED-NCR; and Mrs. Cynthia Barrera and Marietta Manalang of the OPS, CHED Central Office.
During the Validation Visit, the Commission met en banc where they passed a resolution approving the application of the College for university status. As announced by Chairman Carlito Puno, the College is being granted university status effective 12:10 PM of July 18, 2006.
